E3 2016, Day 1: Bethesda Announcements Recap!

Bethesda had some really exciting announcements this year! Although some were disappointed by the lack of any Elder Scrolls 6 news, it was ,undeniably, a decent press conference by Bethesda.

Fallout 4/Fallout Shelter/Skyrim Special Edition: 2016 (by.Bethesda Softworks)

Fallout

3 New Fallout 4 DLCs
Fallout 4 will be receiving 3 brand new DLC expansions which will further add to the plethora of activities players can get lost in within the game.

1. Contraptions (June 2016)
    - Will allow players to create elaborate sorting machines.

2. Vault Tech Workshop (July 2016)
    - Will allow players to carry out experiments.

3. Nuka World (August 2016)
    - Will allow players to visit a theme park.

Fallout Shelter Update
This is a free-to-play mobile game available on Android and iOS. With this new update players will be able to experience new locations, a new combat-system, new characters and new enemies. This game is also set to be available for PC sometime in the near future.

Quake Champions

Quake was an arena-shooter released back in 1996. Bethesda are trying to inject new life into the franchise with their new rendition of the classic title, Quake Champions.

Quake Champions: E3 2016 Reveal Trailer

While the new Quake trailer is visually stunning, long time fans of the franchise are displeased seeing how the game shown here isn't the Quake they remember. The trailer suggests that this will be a class-based first-person shooter, not unlike the recently released Overwatch. This could be Bethesda's attempt at catering to that same market after seeing Overwatch's success. Whatever the case, Quake fans aren't too happy.

Dishonored 2

Dishonored was a very unique stealth action-adventure game released back in October 2012. The game made use of supernatural powers alongside stealth mechanics in order to provide an incredibly unique and interesting experience. The sequel now promises to expand on that concept, allowing players to delve even deeper into the various supernatural abilities made available to them.
"Reprise you role as a supernatural assassin".

Dishonored 2 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 11th 2016.

Prey

Another title developed by the team behind the Dishonored series, Prey, certainly has an impressive trailer. This is one game I'm personally really looking forward to hearing more about!

Doom

Doom was released just a month ago and id software is already busy with updates and a DLC expansion. The updates are all free and there's a lot of it!

The Elder Scrolls

The Elder Scrolls Online Update
The new update, called One Tamriel, will allow players to freely explore the open-world once they've completed the tutorial. Players will not be restricted by any means and will be free to travel wherever they so desire.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends
This is a strategy card game that will be available for Android, iOS, Mac and PC.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered
We all heard the rumours and now Bethesda has officially confirmed it. Skyrim will be coming to current gen consoles later this year. A nice little addition to this announcement is that the remastered version of Skyrim will also include mods! I for one am very happy that I will be able to experience Skyrim all over again with improved visuals and mods.

Virtual Reality

Bethesda have announced VR versions on Doom and Fallout 4. Fallout 4's VR version will be available on HTC Vive sometime next year.
